Founded in 1992, China Ting Group is an investment holding company that engages in garment manufacturing for export and retailing branded fashion apparel in North America, the European Union, Mainland China, and internationally (Reuters n.d., p. 2 of 3). 

Headquartered in Hong Kong, the Group is involved in the manufacturing of the following goods:

• Wool textile and knitwear;
• Printing and dyeing of silk and other fabrics;
• Weaving of jacquard and velvet fabrics;
• Home textiles, silk fabrics, and spun silk fabrics.

Furthermore, China Ting Group operates in two divisions: the manufacturing and sale of garments on an original equipment manufacturer [OEM] basis and manufacturing and retailing of branded fashion apparel [retail] (China Ting Group 2006, p. 1 of 1). A list of the Company’s subsidiaries include (among others):

•     Joyocean Investments Limited;
•   Manfame Investments Limited;
•   Oceanroc Investments Limited;
•   Skyyear Holdings Limited; 
•    Witpower Investments Limited;
•    China Ting Garment Mfg (Group) Limited; 
•     Concept Creator Fashion Limited, and;
•   Finity Fashion (Shenzhen) Company Limited. 

The Group also has established offices in Paris, New York and Shanghai to support its sourcing, manufacturing and distribution activities (China Ting Group 2006, p. 1 of 1). Moreover, it’s manufacturing bases in Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Shenzhen, helps maintain close liaisons with major customers and keeps abreast of the latest market movements and international fashion trends (China Ting Group 2006, p. 1 of 1).

•    Employs 9,900 full time employees.
• The export and production of silk garment made by China Ting Group ranks first in the country with an annual output of more than 20 million pieces of garments, 20 million meters of textile fabric.
•  Majority of its manufacturing facilities are situated at China Ting Industrial Complex, an integrated industrial base that commenced operations in 2003.
